Why go organic?

Conventional cotton farming is one of agriculture's most environmentally destructive activities. The amount of pesticides and other chemicals used in conventional practices of growing cotton make it among the largest polluters of the environment and affects the health of the workers using these products. The process of transitioning traditional cotton fields to organic takes three years to clear the fields of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers so that the cotton can be certified as organic.

It is estimated that it takes well over two pounds of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides to produce the cotton for one non-organic CuddlyWrap™.

The chemicals used in the processing of the cotton fiber into yarn and fabric, and traditional dyeing, are also harmful to the environment. Organic cotton produces a softer, stronger product because the cotton fibers are not subjected to harsh chemicals in processing and dyeing.

The strength and security of the CuddlyWrap™ is the fabric and the way it is tied. The ergonomic design of the CuddlyWrap™ means that there are no limits on the amount of time your baby can spend in the CuddlyWrap™ and no age or weight restrictions. The CuddlyWrap™ can be used as long as you and your baby/child are comfortable! The length of the CuddlyWrap™ allows adults of all sizes to wear the wrap.

The first few times you use the CuddlyWrap™, you may find it helpful to watch yourself in the mirror as you place your baby in the wrap. This will help you to ensure proper positioning and fanning of the fabric.

Remember, whatever CuddlyWrap™ position your baby is in, the logo portion of the wrap must be pulled up so that your baby is secure in the wrap. Ergonomic for Baby The CuddlyWrap™ positions the baby so that their hips and legs are properly supported. This prevents stress on the baby’s developing hips and spine.

Ergonomic for Adult The design of the CuddlyWrap™ ensures that the weight of the baby is evenly distributed. There are no stress points to cause strain on the neck, shoulders or back allowing you to carry your baby in comfort.

Enables you to ‘Wear your Baby’ The CuddlyWrap™ enables you to experience the many benefits of wearing your baby in total comfort.

Each CuddlyWrap™ includes a DVD and a printed instruction manual in English, French and Spanish. Tying the CuddlyWrap™ becomes second nature very quickly. It also helps to use a mirror when you are first positioning your baby in the CuddlyWrap™ to ensure that the baby is positioned well and completely supported. Once you have tied and worn the CuddlyWrap™ with your baby a few times, you will know by your comfort if the wrap tie needs adjusting. For example, if you find your lower back feeling tired, you may need to tie the CuddlyWrap™ more snugly so that the baby is carried a little higher.
